It poured rain the night of our arrival. 7 inches of rain in the last 12 days. The benefit of having a roof top tent is not waking up to a pool of water seeping into your bed. We awoke to hundreds of tenters with their sleeping bags, clothes, and other attire draped over their vehicles to dry out. The crew behind the scenes removed 6 inches of mud around the stage and added straw. What is there not to like about Kid Rock? He gave each tenter 2 free drinks for the inconvenience of the weather. The atmosphere is patriotic; there are 1600 American flags flying on the grounds in addition to what is displayed at the campsites. The military of every branch is recognized; 1500 veterans had complimentary tickets. Almost everyone has some type of red, white, and blue on. The Pledge of Allegiance was done before the concert began. Christianity was displayed with a big cross made with metal scaffolding. Bud Light was replaced with Busch Light. The entire show was enveloped in patriotism. It was a moving experience. Looking forward to day two.
